The importance of Acceptance is vaguely understood by many of us. Acceptance is a state of being and a living being like humans has the ability to choose that state of being. Be it resistance or acceptance.
Therefore, we have to make the right choices. Further, the question to be asked is,
What is the right choice?
Understanding of choices gives us the ability to build a better life. For instance, any choice we make, there will come an outcome.
Now, based on what outcome we expect, we decide and tag a particular choice to be good or bad.
As per the above statement, many of us agree that this is how we define good or bad choices.
But, there is an exception to what is being said. There is a huge influence of our senses on the choices that we make.
It is called the body’s tendencies.
Let us go with an example, we are working on a dream project and there was this lazy day where we heard of a series being played on TV, and we know that the project work is important and yet we went ahead and watched the series.
This happens with many of us. Now here again, we made a choice. As per the first definition mentioned choices, this was a wrong choice.
Then the question is,
why did we make this wrong choice?
The body already had the tendency to react to a particular situation and in the above example that is what happened.
For instance, the body’s tendency was to watch series or movies when it felt lethargic.
Similarly, all our bodies have some tendencies, which stops us from achieving that ultimate success that we are waiting for.
Considering this, how much ever goals you make, you will end up struggling with those tendencies.
Taking this into account, let us just look back and understand how our tendencies tried to stop us from achieving our goals.
But, why do we make such choices when we know it is wrong?
It seems as if tendencies is the God Father who makes us a choice that we can’t refuse.
It is more like, our mind convinces us that the choice of watching series is the best choice. There by, telling us that we can work on our goals later or may be tomorrow.
And, we all know, that tomorrow never came.
Now, going forward,
How do we stop from making these bad choices?
That is where the importance of Acceptance comes into play.

Further, we all as a dopamine(pleasure) craving creatures, crave for that sense of happiness from somewhere in every minute drop of moments.
In addition, the problem is many of us don’t know how to achieve that happiness and we lack knowledge about the importance of Acceptance. Therefore, we make choices based on that craving.
If there is a way to somehow give the body that it is craving for, without the help of any external help. Then, the body will automatically start making the right choices.
