Treatment for Depression:
Lets try and analyse the root of beliefs…
Firstly, We all have a lot of self-proclaimed or social sigma of beliefs.
And, we don’t even know about it, let aside talking about the cure.
Further, we do not even realize that we have a problem unless it turns out to be huge and then we have a name for it.
That is Depression!
In other words, The Biggest problem that we all have is ‘Boredom‘.
We do not even realize or consider boredom to be a problem till the time it is transformed into its highest form- Depression.
Yes! You read it right.
It is a very usual thing to hear from someone that, one is getting bored.
Moreover, we hear it so frequently that we do not realize or consider it to be a threat.
Getting bored is actually a very giant under-rated disease that can get you to peril.
With this, Your mind would be like, “Are you crazy? Is this for real?
So, let us dig deep in to understand this…
In order to understand the meaning of Boredom, let us first analyse and understand what is Enjoyment.
Further, let me ask you;
What according to you is enjoyment?

Most of us would be like, Enjoyment is spending time with loved ones, friends, family; or having booze; trekking, adventure, etc.
Considering this, my question is; “Do you get to do that every moment of your life, I mean in literal sense-EVERY MOMENT.”
The answer is a BIG NO. Right?
Then, what happens in the other moments when the mind is not getting the enjoyment feeling?

Does it make sense…?
Certainly, in other moments, if your mind is not getting the enjoyment feeling, some other emotion takes over.
And here enters the emotion of BOREDOM.
Boredom is actually an alternative emotion of the absence of enjoyment or Happiness.
Either mind can be in an Enjoyment state or in a Boredom state but not in both at the same time.
In addition, lets take this ahead like a scientific research…
Since your idea of Enjoyment was directly dependent on factors outside of the body, when the reality does not match with the idea in any particular moment, then mind gets bored.
(SUBTLE THING TO OBSERVE: MIND GETS BORED NOT YOU.)
So BOREDOM can be defined as something like a gap between your want and the reality of the moment. It means there is a gap between ‘where you are‘ and ‘where you want to be‘.
When this gap grows unconditionally bigger, then that boredom is given a different name called ‘Depression‘.
Now the question is,

When the gap of want and reality is reduced to null, we can say that our life is completely Blissful OR Joyful or Eternal.
And, a lot of beautiful names have been given to describe this feeling – The ultimate Happiness, Self Realization, etc.

How to make ‘where you are’ and ‘where you want to be’ equal?
When you jump in deeper, one thing is pretty clear that ‘where you are’ is a Reality and ‘where you want to be’ is just a thought.
So what is practical?
Is it to change the reality or the thought?
Off-course, the thought is easier to change.
Let us understand this with a statement as an example – There are people who think bad about me and I get demotivated because of this.
So, here the reality is ‘people think bad about me’ and the thought is ‘I get demotivated because people think bad’. Which is easy to change here?
See now you have the answer.
So THE BEST WAY TO TREAT OR TACKLE DEPRESSION is not to work on ‘where you are’ but to work or think towards changing the thought of ‘where you want to be’.
