Firstly, start with the practices given here on how to be happy with yourself and life in general. Once you have excelled this, we will proceed to learn higher form of Happiness, that is The Ultimate Happiness.
10 simple ways on How to be Happy always:
- Reading Books
- Distancing from social media
- Embrace Change
- Interact with new people
- Incline with Nature more often.
- Start a simple lifestyle
- Organic food
- Proper sleep
Let us understand each step one by one in detail.
For people who do not know, exercise releases a chemical in our body called Endorphin. And it plays a very important role in giving you a positive feeling.
Further, this endorphin is also the reason that triggers the happy feeling in you.
So do a daily work out. Moreover, daily work out does not mean heavy work outs in gym.
In other words, it can be a walk in the park, yoga, running, physical sports, etc.
That is to say, your body needs to release sweat for the endorphin to be active.
And one final piece of advice: start small!
2. Reading Books- Self Help How to be Happy?:
We all know and understand the importance of workout for our body. But, we tend to underestimate the importance of mind workout.
You need to give good food(content) to the mind to be happy.
In other words, Make it a habit to read at least a few pages daily. Further, there are a lot of good self help books in the market. One that I recommend to start with is : Ikigai.
With every new information that is fed to the mind, you will deep within feel a sense of contentment and freshness. And that is the source of Happiness.

3. Distancing from social media:
This has played a major role in the quality of my life. There was a time when I was completely living in the head. And with all the desires and regrets, life had become one lot of a hell.
Moreover, to add to it, Social media just boosted that frustration by looking at all the stories around. Further, my mind had started to conclude that life is Hell.
And that is when I quit from social media, just to try how I felt. And the miracle happened.
Life started to become so simple and compassionate that I began to live in the moment.
It was the starting point, that helped me in my path to Happiness.
Firstly, for you, start with an experiment for 21 days without any social media, and then experience the Simplicity of life yourself.

4. Embrace Change:
One very dangerous emotion that you need to be aware of is Boredom. And this mainly happens because of a fixed routine or having an aimless life.
So in order to learn how to be happy with yourself, start inculcating change in your life. And with change I mean the routine.
Now, what many of us do is try to make drastic changes. And we fail.
The context here is to embrace change, that is to make small little changes to your routine. To learn the Japanese style of taking small steps at a time, I recommend reading: Kaizen.
For instance, Don’t repeat the same set of work out every day, try using different paths to go to office, Make attempts to visit different places frequently, etc.
With these small changes, you will feel very overwhelmed with your life. What else is the best way how to be happy again than to embrace change.
5. Interact with New people:
It is best said that we are all social animals. So what can be best other than meeting new people. Further, this will help you in carving your mind to be broader.
Moreover, Understanding different cultures and religion in itself can be an exciting journey. And it will help you to look at life in different perspectives.
Also this connection with people will bring along a completely new freshness in your life.
Let me clarify, am not talking about social media interactions here. In fact, I am asking you to go out and physically meet new people. Try and interact with at-least 3 new people in a week.
6. Incline with Nature more often:
Nature in itself is Happiness. In other words, the basic existence of Nature is Happiness. And when we are aligned with this nature, we feel Happy and Peaceful.
Further, that is the reason why we feel relaxed and calm when we go and visit beautiful scenic places.
Now, for the people who live in cities where it is a bit difficult to have access to nature, you can start with the park near by. You need to make sure, you spend some quality time with yourself in the parks.
And by quality time, I mean avoiding the mobiles or any gadgets and just embracing the view and the feel.
Further, if you get to start your day with this, you will feel very relaxed and happy through out the day.
7: Start a simple Lifestyle.
With all the modern media and the projections it has on the society, we are more inclined to gather a lot of fancy things. That is to say, I have seen people focused on a lot of material desires.
And this is so high that they tend to miss out on the simple things of life. Like, sitting and watching the sunrise or the sunset, gazing the stars at night, etc.
Further to add: Eating simple food and being completely engrossed in chewing the food. Our ancestors used to do that. And hence they had a healthy body and mind.
So let us start with simple things. And we all have a mask(fake identity) that we wear for the society. Further, now we are so identified with that mask that we tend to behave in a complete different way. Which at times becomes the complete opposite of who we are from inside. This is one of the main causes of our sadness. So how to always be happy?
Now, some might argue that we have to be like that. Which is not true. So start to break these masks one by one. And like Anup always says, start small.
This is one habit that is a stepping stone for How to be Happy alone. Meditation has a lot of myth.
Mystics have created a lot of confusion towards this, not all of them though. In simple words, ‘Meditation means Observation’.
In meditation you do not have to do anything with your mind, as claimed by some of the, so called, mystics. That is to say, you just need to observe how you mind functions, the body movements, etc. There is more to it, but I will keep it short and simple here, for you to start.
To start with, find yourself a quiet place and a comfortable position to sit. That is, you can use a chair or a mat, etc. But make sure you sit upright with your back straight. Then close your eyes, and start to observe your breathe, see how your body inhales and then exhales.
Further, do not try and control the breathe, let it flow normal, and you just observe the flow. And do not interfere in the flow.

9. Organic Food:
Do you know that food has vibrations of its own? If you are very aware of the food that goes in to your body, then you will understand the different feelings that different food items generate.
So in this path to Happiness, you need to make sure that you consume more of happy Vibration food. The best one that I can suggest is green Banana. It is a must to include in your diet, unless you are allergic to it or have too much of cough related issues. Further, do consult your doctor before you take these steps.
Moreover, there are lot of other foods, which are the organic ones. If you need to know the vibration of any food item, close your eyes when you consume the food and focus more on chewing. Once the food goes in, and if you feel heavy then you need to avoid consuming more such items.
And if it feels light and soothing then that is the one you should include more in the diet.
In short, add more of organic foods in your diet. You can easily search online for the organic foods.

10. Proper sleep:
There is a lot of myth around the sleeping time. And most of the scientific research says that you need a minimum 6-9 hours of sleep, depending on your age.
But these data are derived from the research done through survey. So it is true to some extent, but not the ultimate truth.
With proper sleep what I mean is, your brain is relaxed when you get up. If not then sleep more. That is to say, sometimes 3-4 hours sleep is more than enough and at times 9 hours sleep is less. It all depends on your body and mind.
There are lot of other factors involved in this, like cough. A person with high concentration of cough has to sleep more for the brain to feel relaxed.
So, how to determine how much to sleep? Or whom to ask if the sleep is complete or not?
The answer to this is ‘your own body’. Your body will tell you if your sleep is complete or not. And once you complete your sleep, you will feel a sense of calm and happiness inside you.
So listen to your inner voice.
